About your host, Hayley

I'm Hayley, the founder of Studio 179; a brand/website design studio that helps creative bosses kickstart their business! I'm from Hong Kong, and know a little too much about where to shop to create my style that always leaves a lasting impression! I also have a fashion /lifestyle blog ", which is where I love to share ideas about living in the vibrant & unique city of Hong Kong. Come & join me as we explore an area known for its deep-rooted fabric sourcing for many local and international designers!

What we’ll do

I will create an informative and fun guided walk in one of the most vibrant local markets in Kowloon, Hong Kong. I will show you street after street of shops selling fabric, beads, trim, buttons, leather, wool, pearls and tools – pretty much anything you need if you want to start making your unique outfits and fashion accessories. It’s a heaven for fashion designers, craftspeople, DIY fanatics and fashionistas. It can feel slightly intimidating on the first arrival, but I'd be delighted to show you how I turn these parts into a fashion item :) Fashion Examples DIY Patched Also, expect to receive a goodie bag with some patches for you so you can start your new fashion piece right away, along with the new things you pick up along the guided tour
